The new creation by Apple has finally been officially announced. The Apple iPad is the new mobile device that will soon be making it’s way into the hands of Mac-hungry boys and girls everywhere. Expect to see many trendy youngsters lounging in coffee shops sporting one of these new devices.
As seen in the picture above, the Apple iPad’s Screen Dimensions are a fairly large 9.7 inch display. Compared to the iPods dimensions that’s a nice size difference. Though it seems overall the iPad is just an iPod for giant people.
The mobile device is .5 inches thin, weighs 1.5 pounds and sports a 9.7 inch IPS display with Full capacitive multitouch. The device is powered by “our own silicon”. The 1GHz Apple A4 chip. It’s available in 16GB, 32GB and 64GB capacities.
Some other specs include WiFi 802.11, Bluetooth 2.1 +EDR, accelerometer and compass, speaker, microphone, 30 pin connector and they have achieved 10 hours of battery life, with over a month of standby time.

Looks AMAZING! I have a hard time typing on the original iPod touch, but this seems much easier. One question. Does it have a SanDisk drive for like computer memory cards and such?

It serves no new purpose!! You can’t even put a DVD or cd in it!! It’s just an oversize bulky iPhone. Apple just made fools of themselves!!

You are an idiot. I’ll grant you it has some short comings, but the fact is, it’s the ONLY useful tablet that is actually shipping. That’s going to give it HUGE market dominance. Plus, all the apps, all the music, all the videos and most of the accessories I have for my iPod touch and iPhone are already going to work with it. There’s so much logic wrapped into this device, the people who don’t see it for the potential it has are idiots.

I love it the only things a don’t like about it is that it does not have adobe flash player and you can see your finger prints while it is on and when it is off
